When I decided to take advantage of health and wellness coaching, I didn’t entirely know what to expect, but I knew it would “be good for me”. I had no idea how life changing it would be. My time with Julie Gold was transforming. I didn’t realize how much I was limiting myself by trying to live in a black and white world where my wellness was concerned. Julie opened my eyes to a “rainbow of options”, as she puts it — I love that view. As with so many areas we discussed and worked on together, Julie helped me see things in a new way that I just wouldn’t have been able to discover on my own. It’s like my brain has been rewired. After working with Julie, my approach to health and wellness now focuses on putting things in place to make a healthy lifestyle more of a natural occurrence in my daily life. Now, achieving my goals is something that just happens as part of how I live my life. I no longer feel drained by the amount of mental energy I used to apply to trying to live in a more rigid world that I had created for myself. Now, I’m meeting my health goals with what feels like less effort, and because I’ve proven it works for me, I no longer need to track my progress. The way I live my life ensures I will continue to meet my goals.
Prior to being introduced to Julie I was seeking inspiration and motivation in my life. I had been desiring change and personal growth, but I was unsure how to make it happen. Lucky for me, Julie accepted me as her wellness client. It was clear Julie wanted to help and was completely invested in my wellness from our first conversation. It didn’t take long for me to begin exploring all different aspects of my life that I didn’t even know I wanted, or needed, to be exploring to bring about this necessary development within. Over the last couple of months, I have not only made some much needed adjustments, but I also have discovered some new tools to keep this momentum going. Julie is an exceptional reflective listener, has a wonderful sense of humor and provides a nonjudgmental, safe space to share your thoughts and feelings. Since I have been a client of Julie’s I have grown more than I thought possible this year. I have found new ways to cope with my life’s challenges, that do not include popcorn! Julie has been a guiding light for me during a time I needed it most. I am in a place now where I look forward to creating goals for myself and then devoting time to reflecting on my accomplishments, while also accepting the goals I did not yet reach. My life’s obstacles do not seem so insurmountable and my spirit has been lifted. Julie has a wonderful sense of humor and an amazing ability to make you feel calm and empowered. I have no doubt that she will excel as a wellness coach with any individual looking to find a new balance, change or needing a cheerleader to reach their goals. Thank you for everything Julie!
Working with Julie has been the exact opposite of what I thought having a health and wellness coach would be, and I mean that in a good way! Rather than simply setting goals for me and occasionally checking in, Julie took the time to get to know me, to know what’s important to me, and to know where I wanted to end up. This isn’t simply a results-driven system; it really helps you figure out what kinds of things work for you, and more importantly, what doesn’t. Having Julie to bounce ideas off of, to talk about anything that was on my mind, to help me deal with struggles and celebrate successes has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve undertaken.
